Peoria Commences Energy Competence Association with Ameresco
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. & PEORIA, Ariz, June 28: Ameresco, Inc., a top energy competence and
renewable energy firm, revealed that it has entered into an agreement with the
City of Peoria to apply proficiency actions that are estimated to cause substantial
energy savings over time. Previously this month, the Peoria City Council collectively
sanctioned the energy competence and renewable energy venture that will augment
sustainability programs and deliver solar protected parking coverings at numerous
city facilities.

move forward,” revealed Mayor Cathy Carlat, adding, “As the cost of energy

renewable energy source as logical as the Arizona sun will result in energy
savings and cost savings. It doesn’t get much smarter than a project that will
pay for itself.”
“Peoria prioritizes sustainability and financial efficiency
and this program accomplishes both,” stated Peoria City Manager Carl Swenson,
adding, “We’ve spent years working to develop a strategy to increase the energy
efficiency at our facilities without a financial burden and I’m proud to see
this plan come to fruition.”
Ameresco will retrofit inner and external lighting all over
13 city facilities and fit solar photovoltaic on roofs, parking coverings, and
on the ground at eight locations all over Peoria. Residents can trace the solar
