Filipino Basketball Tournament in Madrid Continues to Heat Up

MADRID, SPAIN, September 23: The 2022 Pinoy Basketball Tournament shows no sign of letting up as more teams have faced on the court since September 5. A Win and a Default on Games 2 and 3 After a successful opening ceremony and the first game won by the Undefeated on September 4, September 5 didn't waste any time. The action was immediately on as soon as the whistle blew. First up were Iluxion and Batangas Blades. Like in the first game, every set was a tough call. The score was close throughout the whole game with Iluxion leading by a slight margin. The fans were on the edge of their seats, waiting for every move. In the end, however, the eager Iluxion bagged the win, with Melvin Bitamor becoming the Player of the Game. Meanwhile, the second game led to a surprising result when Villaverde eventually won by default. Champions Inched Closer to the Title The succeeding games featured winners trying to retain their undefeated status, new teams hoping to take their place, and losing ones wanting a second chance. On September 12, Team Villaverde faced off with Cobra Kai. The game was a tough one, with neither team backing down. In the end, Cobra Kai proved to have a stronger bite, coming out on top with a victory after scoring 79 points. After the close match, Teams Belleza and Pintor Rosales battled it out for a chance at the top spot. The game was intense, with both teams trying to take an early lead, until Belleza squeaked by with 71 points. Day 4 of the 2022 Pinoy Basketball Tournament was held on September 19, and on top of the agenda were games 6 and 7. Game 6 was between Teams Undefeated, who won the first-ever match, and Pintor Rosales, who was looking for a second victory. The Undefeated eventually bowed out to Pintor Rosales after the latter scored 61 points. Hoops Brothers and Team Batangas Blades competed during game 7. It was another nail-biter, with both teams going head-to-head the whole time. It went down to the wire, but Team Batangas Blades failed to hack out a win at 87–70. Day 5 of the tournament was on September 20, with four teams vying for the top spot. Team Villaverde redeemed itself when it managed to get 84 points against Hoops Brothers. Team Cobra Kai, on the other hand, continued its winning streak by garnering 77 points against Batangas Blades. Unity and Camaraderie All Throughout Despite the intensity of the games, there was never a dull moment during the tournament. The spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship was evident all throughout, with players from different teams supporting one another. "I'm really happy with how the tournament is going. Everyone's playing fair and it's just a great atmosphere all around," said Tesa Malalo-an Fabiosa, CEO and founder of ESTE Travel & Tours, which is the event's major sponsor. The melody of songs can help with developing fluent reading skills. And the words in songs help in the development of language. Listening to, playing, reading, and creating music, involves almost every part of the brain. If one pathway is weak, music can help open others. With practice, songs build stronger connections between the right and left sides of the brain and can bring many to reading. Learning to read requires attention, engagement, and repetition, all a part of singing. The difficulty with using songs for teaching reading is that children often memorize the songs, and the words are in sequential memory. The author uses a finger-point reading activity with each song that has students identify words quickly putting the words into long-term memory and available for reading. A difficulty with songs on a computer screen is that many children cannot follow the bouncing ball. Children need to point to each word. Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Vision Improves with MD Stem Cells Treatment

USA, September 23: Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), a disease of the retina, can lead to permanent vision loss and blindness. An astounding 11 million people currently have AMD in the United States and it is expected to impact over 280 million people worldwide in the next 20 years. WHAT JUST HAPPENED: A new autologous stem cell approach, developed by MD Stem Cells, has now been shown to be highly effective for patients with dry AMD. Using the patient's own stem cells in a prescribed fashion, the MD Stem Cells treatment demonstrated a remarkable benefit to patients, with 63% of treated eyes showing significant improvement in vision and a remaining 34% of treated eyes showing vision stability. In total, a true benefit to 97% of dry AMD eyes. Results were found to be statistically significant- the gold standard for confirming these results are accurate and this specific treatment is responsible for the benefit reported. Results have been published in the Medicines Journal- a highly regarded international medical journal. The article is titled Stem Cell Ophthalmology Treatment Study (SCOTS): Bone Marrow-Derived Stem Cells in the Treatment of Age-Related Macular Degeneration WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT: What makes the MD Stem Cells’ treatment particularly important is that no medication has previously been found to treat dry AMD. Taking a formulation of certain vitamins and minerals called AREDS2 may reduce the risk of bleeding or wet AMD, but only during the intermediate form of dry AMD. An additional 34% of eyes remained stable for the follow up period- meaning no additional vision loss was found in these eyes that had been losing vision previously. The findings were highly statistically significant with p < 0.001, meaning that the results overwhelmingly met the medical standard of certainty that this specific stem cell treatment technology was responsible for the improvements seen. THE TREATMENT: The Stem Cell Treatment Ophthalmology Study II - abbreviated SCOTS2, uses the patient’s own bone marrow stem cells (BMSC) placed in two specific areas of the orbit, followed by intravenous. The study is Institutional Board Approved and National Institutes of Health registered on www.clinicaltrials.gov NCT 03011541. All patients receive active stem cell treatment; there is no placebo or sham.
