Bangladesh and its obnoxious tale of betrayal

The minority Hindu community in Bangladesh has been subjected to unprecedented violence by the Muslim populace which are in a majority, with no signs of the prevailing situation altering for the better in the near future for the Hindus living in constant state of fear and intimidation. The provocative speeches emanating from Bangladesh against India have crossed all limits. The disgraceful and insulting way in which a Bangladesh National Party leader, Rahul Kabir Rizvi has urged the people of Bangladesh to boycott products that are made in India bears testimony to the ungrateful nation's growing hatred towards India. The BNP leader in order to emphatically put forward his point forcefully, set afire to a saree purportedly belonging to his wife which he claimed was an Indian product. The leader also revealed that he was willing to skip a meal everyday if the situation warranted in the event of the people of his country boycotting products coming from India. Such acts of extreme dislike for a country which saved Bangladesh from the atrocities of the Pakistani Army by sending its troops to support a liberation army called Mukti Joddha which wanted to end the domination of an extremist nation that tried to devastate their motherland, is totally unacceptable. The Pakistani authorities  tried to force the Urdu language on the Bengali speaking populace of the then East Pakistan which was ferociously opposed by the students. This led to the brutal killing of a number of student leaders in Dhaka University who led the protest against the imposition of the Urdu language on the Bengali speaking people. The passion with which the students tried to protect their mother tongue against a brutal regime was greatly praised by the United Nations which designated the day of the uprising to protect a native language against foreign intervention, as International Mother Language Day on 21st February, which is now observed all over the world. Now Bangladesh is again aligning with its previous oppressor which wanted Urdu to be the language of East Pakistan which the Bengali speaking population vehemently resisted. This is evident from the fact that people entering Bangladesh from Pakistan will no longer need a security clearance from the State Security Division of Bangladesh. Now is the time for Indians to retaliate in the same way as the BNP leader has shown by boycotting all goods that finds entry into Bharat from the Muslim dominated majority country. The action of Bangladesh is no less than stabbing one's most trusted friend on the back.
