Madame Tussauds New York Reveals Selena Quintanilla Character with the Proclamation of Latin Music Experience
NEW YORK, June 23: Madame Tussauds New York greeted a new
Selena Quintanilla resemblance at the famous Times Square landmark. Selena's
sister, Suzette Quintanilla, was in attendance to impart her delight and present
the "Queen of Tejano" to several of Selena's most devoted and admiring
enthusiasts. Selena's essence has never been more animated as it as well commemorates
the formal CD and DVD release of "The Last Concert."
"It's an honor to represent the Quintanilla family
today and to see my sister's figure met with such a warm and emotional reception,"
revealed Suzette Quintanilla, adding, "I want to thank Madame Tussauds'
amazingly talented craftsmen for creating such an incredible work of art."
Along with presenting Selena's figure, Madame Tussauds New
York proclaimed the formation of the all-new 'Sabor Latino' know-how commencing
July 20. The lure will alter its Music Zone to showcase the most renowned models
in Latin music history: Selena Quintanilla's figure will be combined with those
of Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Selena Gomez and the first ever figure of
"King of Bachata", Romeo Santos, whose newest single
"Imitadora" was circulated on Friday and extremely awaited album
"Golden" will trail on July 21.
"Sabor Latino is a celebration of Latin music and those
who have reached iconic status for achievement in this category, from Selena to
artists of today," Anna Domingo General Manager of Madame Tussauds New
York stated, adding, “It will be the first-ever dedicated Latin themed
experience in Madame Tussauds' history and we can't wait to turn up the heat
and share it with music-lovers this summer."
Commencing on Friday, Quintanilla's figure will be on perpetual
show in the Times Square landmark. The "Queen of Kumbia" propelled to
worldwide admiration in the 1980s and 90s and is the lone Latin female artist
to have five albums concurrently on Billboard 200. Selena persists to gain prizes 22 years
later, attaining Female Artist of The Year at this year's Billboard Latin Music
Awards.
Sabor Latino will begin wholly at Madame Tussauds New York
on July 20, 2017.
