Life Meets Work Review Discovers Strained Out Leaders Spoil Workers' Work Accomplishment



CHICAGO, March 27: Workforce consulting organization Life Meets Work revealed advanced guidance exploration result that the strain of leaders in companies flows all the way through whole administrations, with an undesirable effect on everything from worker appointment to the bottommost line.

The review, conducted amongst 1,000 college-educated U.S. workers, ages 18-70, asked respondents queries about their boss's capability to cope with strain and assistances to the office, and their own working capability.

Among study respondents, just 7 percent consider that their strained bosses successfully guide their groups and just 11 percent of workers with strained bosses are extremely busy at work.

"Companies often focus on fixing individual employees to help them be less stressed and therefore more engaged. Yet, our study found that employee engagement was better predicted by the leader's ability to manage stress than the employee's current stress level," revealed Kenneth Matos, psychologist and Vice President of Research for Life Meets Work, which conducted the study, adding, "A leader's inability to manage stress ripples through the entire organization in a negative way."

As stated by the report, when bosses do not control strain successfully, over 50 percent of their workers consider their boss is either detrimental or inappropriate to their profession and the organization's accomplishment. Yet when bosses are proficient at controlling strain, just around 10% of their workers entertain such undesirable feelings.

The report furthermore discovered that when workers perceive their leaders as incapable to control strain, they report smaller aspirations to progress in their organization. While 79% of workers with strong leaders desired to have a more senior responsibility in their organization, just 55% of those with a boss who is less proficient of controlling strain thought the same.

"This finding should make employers ask themselves an important question, 'Are stressed leaders corroding my talent pipelines by being unattractive examples of leadership in the company?'" stated Matos.
