Chick-fil-A Presents Newfangled Gluten-Free Bun, One of the first to present a gluten-free bun substitute countrywide in America
ATLANTA, June 19: Chick-fil-A®
revealed the appendage of a novel Gluten-Free Bun. The supplement comes in reaction
to clients' entreaties for additional gluten-free/sensitive choices on the menu.
The newfangled bun, which is nowadays obtainable in eateries countrywide, comes
separately packed and can be bought with any of Chick-fil-A's sandwich
offerings.
The Gluten-Free Bun is complete with top components, comprising
ancient grains quinoa and amaranth. It is augmented with vitamins and minerals
and is gently sugared with molasses and raisins. The Gluten-Free Bun rolls out countrywide
succeeding positive checks in three cities throughout the nation in 2016.
Facts displays approximately 18 million Americans have a
gluten sensitivity or fondness. Chick-fil-A is one of the limited prompt facility
eateries to present a gluten-free bun.
"We know our customers are looking for more
gluten-sensitive alternatives. They asked, and we listened," revealed Leslie
Neslage, senior consultant of menu development at Chick-fil-A, adding, "We
heard positive feedback in test markets that the bun tastes better than some
other gluten-free breads. That's because instead of rice flower, we've made the
bun with more premium ingredients like quinoa and amaranth. Our hope is that
the Gluten-Free Bun addition opens up options for gluten-sensitive customers to
enjoy more of our menu."
In assessment markets, the Gluten-Free Bun was most commonly
requisitioned with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Grilled Chicken Deluxe
Sandwich.
The newfangled bun has 150 calories and charges an extra
$1.15.
While separately packed and endorsed free of gluten, visitors
will be needed to accumulate their own sandwiches to lessen risk of
cross-contamination. Chick-fil-A kitchens are not gluten-free.
