Ann M. Sarnoff Appointed by PayPal to Its Board of Directors ,



SAN JOSE, Calif. June 28: PayPal Holdings, Inc. revealed that it has selected Ann M. Sarnoff to its Board of Directors. An experienced media executive with an established reputation of generating novel conglomerates and combined endeavors across the media business, Ms. Sarnoff will work on PayPal's Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. Her selection was in effect from June 27, 2017.
Ms. Sarnoff is President, BBC Worldwide - Americas, the chief business wing as well as completely-possessed ancillary of the public service broadcaster British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which functions in the Americas. In her responsibility, Ms. Sarnoff propels expansion along with revenue across the enterprise’s commercial sectors, and supervises the strengthening of BBC Worldwide’s global products Planet Earth II, Doctor Who, Top Gear, Dancing with the Stars and BBC Earth. She was elevated to President from Chief Operating Officer in 2015. Before bonding with BBC Worldwide, she was President of Dow Jones Ventures and Senior Vice President of Strategy. She has furthermore enjoyed responsibilities as the Chief Operating Officer for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and expended ten years at Viacom as Nickelodeon’s Executive Vice President for Consumer Products and Business Development, and Chief Operating Officer for VH1 and CMT. While at Viacom she assisted in the commencement of new cable channels and created Nickelodeon customer products into a multi-billion dollar trade at retail.

Ms. Sarnoff possesses a BS from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and an MBA from Harvard Business School. For the previous six years, she has been labelled as one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable by CableFAX Magazine and was in recent times revered with the “Women of Achievement Award” by The Women’s Project Theater. She is a part of the boards of HSNi and Georgetown University, and chairs the board of BritBox, the newly commenced subscription video-on-demand facility in the U.S. - a combined undertaking between BBC Worldwide and ITV, the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster.

The selection of Ms. Sarnoff will enlarge PayPal's Board of Directors to 10 members.
