U-Haul Client Aids to Tree Canada Surpass $300,000



PHOENIX, March 16: U-Haul revealed that it has exceeded $300,000 in customer donations to Tree Canada, a non-profit organization devoted to planting trees in Canada.
Ever since 1945, U-Haul has been dedicated to accomplishing business in a socially accountable way to safeguard the environment. This loyalty is replicated in giving customers the choice of donating to Tree Canada's Grow Clean Air program to balance their carbon releases at the time of shifting equipment rental.
Over 140,000 customers at U-Haul sites throughout Canada have donated almost $305,000 since the collaboration commenced in December 2011, assisting to plant 38,031 trees up to the present time. The earliest planting for the U-Haul-Tree Canada collaboration ensued October 2014 with 5,000 sprouts in Sudbury. In 2015, U-Haul customer donations gave 20,000 trees to afforest Kamloops in an expanse brutally ravaged by mountain pine beetles and wildfires. U-Haul was started by a Navy old-timer who grew up during the Great Depression. Tires and gas were still limited or in small amount throughout the late 1940s when U-Haul commenced helping U.S. customers. Nowadays, that backdrop is significant to the U-Haul Sustainability Program: "Serving the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
Tree Canada is a non-profit charity devoted to enhancing the lives of Canadians by planting and rearing trees. Since 1992, the organization has planted over 80 million trees, greened above 550 schoolyards, assisted renovate locations hit by natural calamities and brought together urban forestry specialists greening cities all throughout Canada.
