Swedish Company SPOWDI Unveils Smart Farming for the Foremost Time in India

Swedish Company, SPOWDI (Solar Powered Water distribution) in association with EMMVEE unveiled ‘Spowdi Smart Farming’, a novel and sustainable solution to provide the futuristic and superior in class smart farm that backs small farmers community and saves water.

The event witnessed, Shri. Rajendra Kumar Kataria, IAS, Secretary to Government, Agriculture, Horticulture and Sericulture Department unveil the farm in Bangalore on 9th December 2019. At the event, Jain Irrigation and SPOWDI smart farming signed an MoU for a novel and sustainable solution to save water.  This is in keeping  with  India’s, Make in India principle and expedite in fortifying the bond between Sweden and India in the renewable energy segment. Articulating his thoughts at the event, Mr. Henrik Johansson, CEO for SPOWDI observed, “India is a growing nation and has a vast contribution to the renewable energy sector with as much as 107.22 Billion units in 2019. This initiative has enabled us to set a benchmark for sustainable measures and contribute for a future-proofed green planet.
