Blighter Reveals Man Moveable Radar, Camera System for Quick Placement and Clandestine Action

CAMBRIDGE February 16: Blighter Surveillance Systems Ltd, a British electronic-scanning (e-scan) radar as well as sensor solution contributor, has revealed Blighter® Explorer Nexus, a completely combined, battery run, man transportable radar; camera reconnaissance system. It is planned for quick positioning from transportation backpacks by foot guard or from an automobile for utilization in distant border reconnaissance, short-term camp fortification, forward survey and other clandestine tasks.

Blighter Explorer Nexus is a compacted, lightweight and low power all weather reconnaissance solution and encompasses the Blighter B202 Mk2 e-scan micro Doppler ground reconnaissance radar, an unified noticeable as well as infra-red thermal imaging camera scheme, a Windows HMI, secret eyepieces as well as non-compulsory tough laptop. The product is intended for completely secret task with a 'silent' approach and nil light discharges.

Mark Radford, CEO, Blighter Surveillance Systems, observed, "Blighter Explorer Nexus is a rapidly deployable fully integrated e-scan radar and thermal imaging system designed to provide covert all weather day/night surveillance for small border patrols in mountainous terrain and for specialist reconnaissance personnel including those operating behind enemy lines."

"Our new system is designed for covert foot patrol deployment in specially designed transport backpacks with the radar and camera sensors mounted on a single tripod," Mark Radford furthermore revealed, adding, "This means wide area detection can be up and running in a matter of minutes providing immediate protection for the military or black ops personnel."

Blighter Explorer Nexus is backpack attached and can be launched and run by a single operator. The Blighter radar gives quick recognition and position of shifting objects. For instance, it can notice a crawler at 1.5 km (0.9 miles) and a budging vehicle at 8 km (5 miles). The radar instinctively signals a long-range camera to allow the operator to recognize any target. A wireless backhaul connection can be utilized to transmit real-time sensor data feeds to a distant place for surveillance and tactical assessment.

Blighter radar solutions are utilized by the U.S. military as well as the British Army for force fortification, and in various asset defense and border safety uses, together with observing the Korean Demilitarised Zone (DMZ), a cushion zone which runs 250 km across the Korean peninsula and divides North and South Korea.

Blighter Surveillance Systems provides an integrated multi-sensor array to systems integrators including the Blighter radars plus cameras, thermal imagers, trackers as well as software solutions. Its ITAR-free schemes are utilized globally in business, government as well as defence souks in area and resource fortification for nationwide border safety, homeland safety as well as crucial infrastructure defense for example oil and gas resources, coastline reconnaissance and in military uses.

Blighter will be showcasing Blighter Explorer Nexus and additional reconnaissance solutions  at The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2017), at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, UAE, (Stand 05-C20), from 19th to 23rd February 2017.
