Reports of Rohingiya Muslims and infiltrators from Bangladesh stealthily entering Himachal Pradesh is a cause for alarm and apprehension in the popular hill resort of Shimla. The construction of an illegal mosque that gives refugee to the Rohingiya Muslims and Bangladeshi infiltrators has justifiably sparked anger among the residents of Shimla. The fact that the Rohingyas are known for their ferocious nature and their propensity to indulge in criminal activities has created a sense of fear among those residing in Shimla for decades. Reports which suggest that areas around the illegal mosque has witnessed a spurt in crimes including abduction, assault on local businessmen and misdemeanor with womenfolk in recent times was unthinkable even not so long ago. The abject failure of the administration to prevent the unhindered influx of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators is indeed despicable. What is surprising is the way these unscrupulous elements evade the security personnel who are supposed to thwart their sinister attempt to enter India and foment trouble and create turmoil to cater to their needs for survival. Encouraging these anti-national forces to build their bases in India does not augur well for the nation.Whether the security personnel are lax in preventing this illegal exodus or these obnoxious elements are encouraged to thrive for garnering votes to gain political advantage needs to be properly analysed. Unless and until concrete steps are taken to put an end to this intolerable practice tough times are ahead for those places which indulge in such brazen attempt to increase their votebank

APWG REPORT: Phishing Assaults Double in 2020 and October Breakd All-Time Monthly Records

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 9: The APWG's new Phishing Activity Trends Report shows that the number of phishing assaults witnessed by APWG members increased during 2020, wholly doubling over the course of the year. Attacks topped in October 2020, with a high of 225,304 new phishing sites appearing in that month alone, breaking all earlier monthly records. In Brazil, security firm Axur saw a slower growth in the number of phishing attacks that targeted Brazilian companies and consumers in Brazil. But overall, Axur observed almost twice as many such phishing sites in 2020 as it did in 2019, a concerning year-over-year growth. APWG contributor OpSec Security found that phishing that targeted financial institutions was the largest category of phishing in the fourth quarter, at 22.5 percent of all attacks. This category nosed out webmail and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), which experienced 22.2 percent of all attacks. Phishing against the social media sector declined slightly to 11.8
