IndiaNational Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has revealed its collaboration with Salesforce (NYSE:CRM), the worldwide pioneer in customer relationship management (CRM), to improve NSDC’s skill development and capability building endeavour via Trailhead, Salesforce’s free online learning platform that empowers anyone to skill up and enhance one’s job prospects in the digital economy.
The explosion of technological innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is generating a great requirement for new-age skills. By 2022, over 120 million workers will require reskilling because of progresses in artificial intelligence (AI) and automation. As per the World Economic Forum, on average, an Indian worker presently requires nearly 100 days for re-skilling to be ready for future jobs by 2022. Via this collaboration, NSDC and Salesforce aim at empowering learners and educators, irrespective of socioeconomic background, to skill up for the jobs of tomorrow with novel content, presentations and training resource. The collaboration also includes reaching out to colleges and universities to be in a position to adopt NSDC’s broad range of courses and curriculum and involve with students via the Trailhead platform.
