Barbaric acts by Islamic radicals on Bangladeshi Hindus

The barbaric and heinous attack on Bangladeshi Hindu minorities by the Yunus led government in Bangladesh since the ouster of Sheikh Hasina from power is indeed reprehensible. The way in which Islamist fundamentalists have butchered and sexually assaulted minorities in Bangladesh including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists is totally unacceptable and calls for a stern global response to such acts of criminalities. Yunus wholesale received the Nobel peace prize is ironically at the helm of affairs and continues to remain a mute spectator to the atrocities unleashed by radical elements in Bangladesh. India which liberated Bangladesh from the clutches of Pakistan which tormented and tortured the people of Bangladesh is now witnessing a surge of violence against the Hindus who fought shoulder to shoulder against the Pakistani army as a collective unit under the name of Mukti Joddha a guerrilla outfit that received covert support from the Indian army till the Pakistanis were driven out from the territory of Bangladesh in a full fledged war that led to the ultimate surrender of the Pakistani Army. Although acts of persecution against the Hindus were reported during the regime of Sheikh Hasina they were mostly confined to certain pockets and were not as widespread and lethal as is being witnessed now. Violent marauding mobs chanting religious slogans calling for jihad against the Hindus looted and burnt properties belonging to the Hindus killing thousands of Hindus and sexually assaulting women belonging to the minority communities. These inhumane acts only goes on to show how Bangladesh has turned into a battlefield for the massacre of the Hindu minority. While the Hindus faced the wrath of the fundamental elements in Bangladesh they had no other option but to put up a resistance for their survival though considered inadequate given the evil forces they had to contend with. While giving a call for all Sanatanis to unite for their very survival Chinmoy Krishna Das a member belonging to the ISKCON fraternity stood as a symbol who spearheaded the Sanatan protest. Under his guidance and leadership massive protests were seen in parts of Bangladesh and gave the Hindus courage to chant the slogan of Jai Sriram associated with their Hindu identity. The peaceful agitators though were mercilessly beaten up by the police and army officials of Yunus government. Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested on charges of sedition for raising the saffron flag the symbol of the followers of Sanatan Dharma. The outrageous manner in which he was taken into custody after a court trial which found him guilty of insulting the Bangladeshi national flag is indeed despicable. Although the ministry of external affairs of India has strongly condemned the developments and have given a stern message to Bangladesh to ensure the safety and security of the Hindus and other minorities concrete steps ought to be taken to alleviate the woes of the minority communities in Bangladesh where the situation is extremely volatile and lives of Hindu minorities are endangered.
